Time to get a bit arty with the photo of the day:
This cool-looking wrought iron decorates the front of a house in Devonport – we were there to eat a delicious brunch at Platter (best corn fritters on the North Shore, I reckon).
I love wrought iron. If you’re in London you should head to the V&A and visit the ironwork room in the metalwork gallery, which is full of magnificent examples of how metal can be made to look delicate and beautiful. I’m sure that a big part of my love of Sydney can be attributed to my appreciation of the gorgeous wrought iron work on the terraced houses.
