I decided that I shouldn’t allow yesterday’s culinary disaster to derail me, so I made a batch of Russian fudge:

It’s turned out well, although it won’t be fully set until tomorrow; Auckland’s humidity tends to affect setting times – an iced lemon slice needs a full 24 hours in the fridge to harden up (buttercup). But I’ve tried a piece (or two) already, and this fudge is jolly good.
